The most clinical trials for treating cerebral palsy have been done in Duke University, North Carolina, USA. Children who had neural system damages were treated using autological cord blood stem cells since year 2005. In 2009 there were 100 cases published. These trials also started in Asia. From 2007-2009 there were 4 cases published.

6-years-old girl Aby had brain damage that was caused by oxygen deficiency during delivery. Doctors didn't gave much hope for any improvements. At the moment girl's mother find out about experimental treatment in Mexico, where 7 children with cerebral palsy received autologous cord blood stem cell treatment. Aby received such treatment as well. Doctors didn't give many hopes, however already few weeks later after transplantation parents could see improvements.

In 2008 first cord blood stem cell transplantation for cerebral palsy treatment was made in Singapore. 2-year-old girl's cord blood stem cells were collected when she was born and stored in CordLife stem cell bank. After the transplantation the improvement in her condition was observed, she became more comunicative and more active in her physiotherapy trainings.
