Official delegations from 15 countries have arrived in Israel to take part in the ILSI-BioMed Israel 2012 conference and trade show, which held on May the 21st to 23rd in Tel-Aviv. Lithuania was represented by JSC „Viltechma”, KTU, LSMU and, off course, Baltic Stem Cell Bank Imunolita. Lithuanian combined stand received significant attention from representatives of Israeli companies, who were interested in cooperation possibilities with Lithuanian businesses and universities.
This is the leading international conference in Life Sciences, covering the field of innovation in the biomedical, health care and life sciences industries, where industry and academia join hands to learn about the latest and future developments, explore opportunities for new business ventures, meet up with old colleagues and make new contacts. Around 6000 visitors from all over the world attend the ILSI BioMed exhibition every year. First day started with a special reception and seminar opened by D.Degutis, Amsassador of Lithuania in Israel, atracted more than 40 participants. The presentation given by P.Lukauskas, the Managing Director of Enterprise Lithuania,was met with applause. He presented several success stories and discoveries from the Lithuanian biotechnology sector and invited exhibition guests to Vilnius this september, for the international forum Life Science Baltics 2012.
